Gravesham remembers

 Published: 13-Oct-2020

Although our normal Remembrance services cannot take place this year due to COVID19 precautions, we will still remember.

The Mayor of Gravesham will be laying a wreath remembering all those from the Borough who have given their life in defence of the country at a private ceremony.

Our poppy umbrellas are on display in Gravesend Borough Market and the Poppy carpet will be on show on Community Square.

Our Remembrance film, including the Mayor’s wreath laying, will be released on Sunday 8 November at 11am.

The usual Remembrance services at Windmill Hill Memorial Gardens and the Hill, Northfleet, will not be going ahead.

However, if you wish to lay a wreath at either memorial you can do so all day from 11:15am on Sunday 8 November.

Please observe social distancing rules.
