We are supporting a free pilot training course for budding entrepreneurs to learn how to start a business in just 10 days – with no budget or business plan necessary.

The Rebel Business School runs until 30 July and will be delivered virtually. It is open to anyone with a business idea who is looking for support to get started or even existing entrepreneurs looking to refresh their approach.

Gravesham residents have also been invited to join part of the programme being delivered from the Civic Centre in Gravesend so they can meet other like-minded people locally.

The course is open to any local person with a business idea. Participants will learn practical ways to get a business off the ground, as well as gain advice on how to sustain and thrive in future.

The course is just one of the ways the council is looking to support local residents.

Cllr Lauren Sullivan, Cabinet Member for Strategic Environment with responsibility for Economic Development said: “We are really excited to be supporting the Rebel Business School and offering this opportunity to our residents.

“With so many people finding their working and personal lives changing in recent times, we want to help local people find new routes to success. Self-employment can offer flexibility, as well as an opportunity to pursue passions or find a new direction.

“Whatever the reasons, the council is here to help budding local entrepreneurs.”

The Rebel Business School, sponsored by Kent County Council, runs courses around the country, which are free to access thanks to the help of local supporters, including Gravesham Borough Council.

Kent-based Ella Quinn took part in a Rebel Business School course and now runs Quinn’s Pins. She said: “Rebel really helped me to find my self-confidence and draw out a path for myself. Since then, I have been able to quit my part time job to work freelance.”
